“She is punk, the way Patti Smith was punk and is more of a vocalist than most other female bass music vocalist out there; she is cooler than Uffie in 2007, she has picked up where M.I.A. dropped off and is not looking back. Her project Catnapp is a must for all playlists and she has just released a remix EP of her awesome track Make Your Speakers Boom.” Moomba+

“I was sent this release a month or so ago but was too busy with moving from Geneva to France to post about it…needless to say if I am writing about it now, it’s been on heavy rotation since I first heard it! This EP is just as the title implies, take Balkan traditional sounds from Eastern Europe and mash ‘em up with 8bit blips and glitches à la old skool video game style….a seriously nifty idea that makes for some super cool music…” Bloggertronix

“Glitchy, drum’n’bass and disco inspired electropop  (?) might be the most close definition of  Kungfused - a talented young woman producing fantastic tracks from within the heart of Barcelona…RollerdiscoDon’t want to be like you and a bit more chilled and jazzy Kitchen On Fire all sound like top quality pieces that could be taken straight out of a live set by legendary AraabMuzik. Great AKAI fingerwork here indeed, with clever break build-ups, tolling bells and carefully picked classic instrument samples.” HMWL

“As for the music … Mimi the Hedgehog (cute!) from Toulouse covers all the bases from the downtempo bliss of the title track to cheeky techno-bass reminiscent of Berlin’s own PHON.O.” Bang Bang Berlin

UE_smallUrban Exploration

Influenced as much by dub, ambient and noise artists as they are dance music, Urban Exploration’s musical output often focuses on the creation of intense soundscapes, that then evolves to include heavy techno or industrial beats as the music progresses. Their live shows are often completely improvised with no-one really knowing where they will be taken next. The addition of live VJing and audience interaction make their live shows and events unique experiences. They always aim to balance their experimental sound design and working methods with accessible melody and vigorous dancefloor workouts.
